We have reached week three already! This week, not only am I going to update you on my goal, but I'm also going to reveal three things about myself that you (in the blogger world) may not know.
1. I am (painfully) socially awkward. You may never know it...because I'm so very popular in the social media world (haha); but when I'm placed in a group of people I hardly know, I'm a bit awkward. I tell lame jokes, bring-up uninteresting topics and have a hard time keeping myself from rambling on and on (and on).
2. I despise exercise! And I'll do almost anything to get out of it!
3. I hate shopping. For some reason, the crowds exhaust me and I'll do anything to get out of it (even exercise).
My overall goal: Make healthy choices for myself and my baby.
Last week's mni-goal: Exercise more often.
Let me begin with a disclaimer: Any goal of mine that involves exercise will always be an uphill battle (see #2 above).
I did, however, manage to get out of my office building and walk a little. This weekend was super-busy! Other than a nap on Saturday afternoon, I was rarely off my feet. We had numerous home projects and were busy as bees completing them. By the end of the weekend, I was totally exhausted.
I would say that my goal was semi-successful. Although I definitely need to work on setting side time to get out and exercise. I think I'll make it a future goal to start prenatal yoga.
This week, my mini-goal is to have more "me" time. A long bath, a couple of hours reading a book or just a few nice catnaps. I've been super-busy lately and feel al ittle alone time will do the trick in helping me keep my balance (and settle my nerves!).
Wish me luck!

The fact that you tout yourself as being socially awkward is absolutely shocking to me Alex, I just can't see that but it's still interesting like you say considering how wonderful you are with words on here. I'm loving this project a lot, keep up with it!
Come to Birmingham & I'll give you a prenatal massage & we can go to lunch!!
You are perfectly popular to me!
I would have never thought you to be socially awkward...and YES you are popular in blogland. And i love your mini-goals for the week....you will do great with them!! I would highly recommend prenatal yoga...it will make s big difference...and don't forget the K-exercises....TMI maybe:-)
we would get on so well because i believe i am socially awkward though some might disagree with me.
I can really relate too all the three points. but i try to adapt to every situation i don't like shopping and exercise are so hard to keep up.
i like your weekly mini-goals
and me time :)
I am also kind of socially awkward -- and I hate exercise, too, unless it has a purpose (like walking around a theme park or sightseeing).
If you want a fun way to exercise that totally doesn't feel like exercise, you might try playing "Just Dance." We have a Wii, but it's available for every game system (don't know if you have one). I love that you get to dance in the privacy of your own home, but it's great exercise and it's fun.
I'm totally socially awkward, and I hate exercise. I walk. That's it. I was feeling ambitious last year so I ran a little bit, but not this year. : )
I hope your pregnancy is going well, and that you get all the rest and relaxation you need! : ) Thinking about you and your sweet little one!
hahaha even exercise to get out of shopping?! ;)
Me time is so important! good luck!!
