#Project Milf: My Milf Idols

Can you believe it has already been a week since Project Milf (Motivating, Inspiring, Leading, Female) has kicked off?  A whole week since I proclaimed my goal of making healthy choices for myself and my baby?!  It has flown by!

Before I update you on my progress, I want to share with you a little about my Milf Idols.  My Milf Idols are my aunt Marquita and my mother-in-law Kathy. They are two Motivating, Inspiring, Leading Females who inspire me to be a strong leader in my family and who motivate me to be a Milf!

My Aunt (Marquita) is a woman who is confident, strong, smart and capable.  Never, in my life, have I seen her shrink away from a challenge.  She is a fantastic leader and an endless dreamer (who always realizes her dreams).  She has been a devoted and supporting wife for nearly 35 years and has been a stand-up mother to my super-awesome cousin.

My mother-in-law (Kathy) is clever, caring, enthusiastic and determined.  She has faced trying times but has persevered and become very successful. Kathy puts 110% into everything she takes on (and she takes on a lot).  She teaches Jazzercise four times a week.  She has been a loyal and loving wife for 26 years and has raised two exceptional sons.

When I think about the things I want for myself and my family, my aunt and mother-in-law inspire me to become the woman I know I can be.  They are my Milf Idols.

Now for my progress...
My first step in achieving my overall goal was super-successful!  This week I worked on eating a balanced diet; it was a success! Nevermind the bag of Oreos I polished off last weekend; they are a part of a balanced diet too!
Each day I have eaten a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner; I have also made it a point to pack healthy snack comprised of fruits and vegetables.
For some reason, I have had a serious meat aversion during my pregnancy.  Any/all types of meats are repulsing to me!  Odd, right?  So I've been desperately consuming eggs, cheese and milk to fulfill my protein requirement.
Next week, my focus will be to exercise more often; even if that means to just take a walk when I have a few minutes at work.  Wish me luck!

Oh...and happy Valentines Day!  Hope it's a great one!

You are very motivated and exercising is super important to help your body return to a state you will be happy with. Don't be afraid if diet or exercise has to slack for a couple weeks at a time. These babies...they pack a powerful punch and sometimes our pregnancies dictate what we will be doing, or not doing. Good Luck!

It's awesome to hear that your idols aren't those who are celebrities who use teams to lose weight extremely quickly after birth because that kind of thing is next to a fantasy. No matter what make sure to stay healthy during your pregnancy and I really hope that you and Rod have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

I was so exhausted that I wasn't able to work out in my first trimester. But as soon as I got into my 2nd trimester I had so much more energy, and I walked three miles a day until the day they induced my labor! I found that it was super easy to keep up the walking after Avery was born, and we still walk all the time! You've set great goals!
